Tina Reed

Tina Reed, Counselor for PK - 2nd Grade

Ms. Reed is a veteran of Shreve Island, having taught here for 11 years beginning with her student teaching. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of South Carolina Upstate and her Master's in Counseling at Louisiana Tech. She has been married to her husband, Richard, for over 18 years, and they have two children, Sonny and Olivia. In her free time, Ms. Reed enjoys spending time with her family, serving the community through their church, traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors whenever the opportunity arises. Ms. Reed teaches 7 Habits skills in classroom lessons and conducts individual and group counseling with students. She began serving as Guidance Counselor in 2020. 

Jeannie Taylor

Jeannie Taylor, Counselor for 3rd - 5th Grade

Mrs. Jeannie Taylor is a Certified Special Education Teacher and holds a Masters in Guidance Counseling from Louisiana Tech University. She began her career as a teacher at Alexander Special School and became a counselor at Shreve Island Elementary in the fall of 1999. Mrs. Taylor worked as a guidance counselor until the birth of her second child. She then stayed home for several years and returned to Shreve Island in the Fall of 2007. Mrs. Taylor has been married To Andy for 26 years and has two children.  Her daughter Hannah is a graduate of the University of Alabama, Roll Tide, and her son, Garrett is a sophomore at Louisiana Tech, Go Dawgs.  Mrs. Taylor enjoys teaching the 7 Habits through leadership classes weekly. She also conducts individual and group counseling with students.
