SHREVE ISLAND ELEMENTARY is a WE CARE SCHOOL!
What is a "We Care" School anyway?
"Caring relationships are our most valuable and value creating resource." A We Care School brings intention and discipline to how we grow a culture of caring as the relational foundation for school and community. Shreve Island Elementary, with the direct support of the action team, our school community & our We Care Core team, has explored a framework and strategies for initiating and growing a culture of caring that was implemented in our school. The goal is an intentional unique culture of caring growing within our school.
"Caught You Caring"
We encourage our school community to intentionally focus on caring acts with a schoolwide card and sticker giving, Caught-You-Caring Cards. The observer who fills out a card (leadership skill-building to see good in others) and the person committing a caring act are awarded shout outs from the office announcements with their Care Cards and Stickers. Being a We Care School prioritizes caring relationships as our most valuable and value creating resource, the foundation from which grows our island.
